YAWP & ArbitralWomen Host Fireside Chat with Patrizia Netal in Vienna During VIS Moot Week

On 29 March 2026, as part of the VIS Moot Week in Vienna, YAWP and ArbitralWomen co-hosted an in-person fireside chat with KNOETZL founder Patrizia Netal in conversation with YAWP Steering Committee Member Nicole Grohmann.

The event brought together approximately 20 arbitration practitioners attending the VIS Moot for an intimate and engaging afternoon. The programme featured a fireside chat with Patrizia Netal, founder of KNOETZL and Director of the Vis Moot, conducted by YAWP Steering Committee Member Nicole Grohmann under the theme “From the Vis to the Market”. Patrizia shared candid and hands-on reflections on her own career journey, offering personal insights on how to build a successful practice as an arbitration practitioner, found a law firm, and maintain active roles within arbitral institutions — as well as her unique perspective as the director of one of the world's most prestigious moots.

The event was further enriched by contributions from ArbitralWomen Co-Founder Louise Barrington and ArbitralWomen Board Director Niamh Leinwather, who spoke about the origins of ArbitralWomen and the initiatives the organisation continues to champion. The small group setting fostered candid conversation and meaningful connections among participants at various stages of their careers.
