Continuing Enhancements to the ArbitralWomen Website
ArbitralWomen is committed to continually enhancing the value and usability of its website for its members. In January 2026, we were delighted to announce several new features, and in April 2026, we introduced a new “Useful Resources” feature on the website. As part of our ongoing programme of improvements, we are pleased to announce several updates:
1. Year of birth (for internal use)
New applicants will now be asked to provide their year of birth when applying to ArbitralWomen and completing their membership profile. Existing ArbitralWomen Members are encouraged to connect to their profile and complete their year of birth.
This information will not be visible on the public facing website. It will be used internally for administrative purposes, including enabling the system to automatically identify members under 40. These members will automatically be enrolled in the Young Arbitral Women Practitioners (YAWP) network and will receive updates on all YAWP initiatives and events.
2. Update to the adaptable fee scale
ArbitralWomen recognises the importance of maintaining an adaptable fee structure based on the gross national income (GNI) of Members’ home countries. This approach supports greater inclusivity by expanding access to membership in regions where ArbitralWomen is less well represented, while also reflecting the socio-economic diversity of our global community.
At the same time, the Board is committed to ensuring that membership income remains sustainable, enabling AW to effectively support its expanding rate of initiatives and operational needs.
As anticipated at the March 2026 AGM, the Board confirmed at its May 2026 meeting that the adaptable fee scale will be updated. Going forward, the lower middle and the low income rate will be 75 euros, and the high income and the upper middle income rates will remain unchanged. The membership fees will hereinafter be as follows:
| GNI Category | Annual Fee |
| High income | 150 € |
| Upper middle income | 100 € |
| Lower middle & low income | 75 € |
3. Membership Renewal Reminders
Unlike individual Members, Members who benefit from a Corporate Membership do not receive membership renewal reminders directly. Until now, such reminders were sent only to the designated contact person or business development representative responsible for managing membership renewals on behalf of the firm's Members.
To help prevent memberships from lapsing, renewal reminders are now sent individually to both the Members and the firm's designated contact persons.
4. New Country Representatives webpage
In January, ArbitralWomen was delighted to announce the appointment of seven members as Country Representatives (CRs). Their role is to strengthen member engagement and enhance AW’s visibility across jurisdictions.
The website now features a dedicated Country Representatives page, providing further information on the CR role and showcasing the profiles of the seven outstanding women appointed for the 2026-2027 term. We encourage Members to explore the new page on the website, and importantly, to connect with the Country Representative in your jurisdiction!
