The annual conference of the European Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) will take place,  for the first time ever, in Athens this year from 24-26 April 2025, with the title "Darwinism in ADR: How arbitration and mediation are adapting to changes in the operating environment."
The conference includes panels on the autonomy of arbitration, arbitration and courts, the continuous evolution of arbitration institutions’ policies and practices, mediation, construction arbitration and maritime arbitration.

This is the second edition of our event series "Late Night Stories in Arbitration", hosted and moderated by Patricia Nacimiento of Herbert Smith Freehills. In this series, we concentrate on the people behind the practice and shine a light on their personal and professional lives. The speakers give meaningful insights into their career and what they've learned and achieved in the area of arbitration. 

This time, Patricia will be giving an introductory speech, followed by a fireside chat from two distinguished speakers: Herbert Kronke and Maria Chiara Malaguti. Afterwards, there will be time for networking at a short reception.
