The United Kingdom’s Department of International Trade (UK DIT) seeks to designate up to four individuals to the Panel of Arbitrators and up to four people to the Panel of Conciliators convened by the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). These panels act as rosters from which individual arbitrators or conciliators can be selected for ICSID tribunals, commissions or ad hoc committees.  Guidance on the UK DIT’s call for expressions of interest can be found here. The UK DIT is keen to reach out to a diverse applicant base for these designations. Applicants of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, particularly from under-represented groups. Applicants should have relevant knowledge and experience of international law, proven organisational skills and meet the qualifications specified in the ICSID Convention.
