Mahnaz Malik Appointed as Judge on the World Bank Sanctions Board

Mahnaz Malik has been appointed as a judge on the World Bank Sanctions Board, where she will decide on “sanctionable practices” such as corruption and fraud in World Bank-financed projects. Mahnaz is an arbitrator and barrister at Twenty Essex in London. Her appointment is effective as of 5 January 2024. A Pakistani-British dual national, Mahnaz has been a member of the ICSID panel of arbitrators for over a decade and has served on ICSID ad hoc annulment committees. She has also served as a member of the ICC Commissions on Arbitration and Anti-Corruption. She also a Fellow at Hughes Hall College, University of Cambridge. She will continue to practise as counsel and act as arbitrator from Twenty Essex in London.
