This event will explore the procedural and legal complexities ofmass claims in arbitration, with a focus on recent high-profile cases. These include class action arbitration againsta crypto-currency platform at HKIAC, with hundreds of users seeking compensation for losses during a majortrading outage, Argentina’s experience with mass claims under investment treaties, and the bondholders actionsagainst Switzerland. Through these case studies, the event will examine the evolving mechanisms, challenges, and future of class actions in arbitration.
