Members Invited to Submit Statements of Interest to Serve as ArbitralWomen’s Representative at Upcoming UNCITRAL Working Group Sessions in Vienna

The ArbitralWomen Board invites ArbitralWomen Members to submit a statement of interest to serve as ArbitralWomen’s representative at the forthcoming United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) sessions.

Working Group III will hold its 52nd Session from 22-26 September 2025 and Working Group II will hold its 82nd Session from 13-17 October 2025. Both sessions will take place in Vienna, Austria.

ArbitralWomen has observer status with UNCITRAL and is invited to send a representative as an observer which may participate in the Working Group’s deliberations. Information about UNCITRAL’s rules of procedure and methods of work is available here.

Please submit statements of interest to Mary Thomson (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and Cherine Foty (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) on the UNCITRAL Committee by 29 August 2025 for Working Group III, and by 26 September 2025 for Working Group II. Indicate which session you are interested in attending and your availability and ability to travel to Vienna for the entirety of the session dates. Provide a paragraph explaining why you are interested in: (i) attending the UNCITRAL Working Group session, and (ii) serving as ArbitralWomen’s representative in that context. Please note that the representative chosen to attend does so at their own expense and is expected to provide the ArbitralWomen Board with a subsequent brief report which we may publish in our newsletter.
