Silja Schallstein Promoted to Counsel at Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler with effect from 1 January 2020
Silja Schaffstein has been promoted to counsel at Geneva-based firm Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler with effect from 1 January 2020. Recognized as a Future Leader by Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration, she specializes in commercial and investment arbitration and acts as arbitrator, counsel or co-counsel, or tribunal secretary. Silja also advises and represents clients with respect to arbitrations and arbitration-related proceedings before the Swiss courts. A German national, Silja is admitted to the Geneva and New York Bars. She holds a Ph.D. from Queen Mary, University of London and the University of Geneva for her dissertation on ‘The Doctrine of Res Judicata Before International Commercial Arbitral Tribunals’, and an LL.M. from Columbia University. Silja is fluent in German, English and French.
