Patricia Shaughnessy has been appointed to the arbitration council of the Georgian International Arbitration Centre

Patricia Shaughnessy has been appointed to the arbitration council of the Georgian International Arbitration Centre (GIAC) with effect from 10 September 2020. She is one of five international members to be appointed along with three Georgian lawyers to the council. Patricia is a professor at Stockholm University where she founded the Master of International Commercial Law Program, and researches and teaches international dispute resolution and related areas. She serves as an arbitrator, an expert, and a consultant in legal development projects. Prior to her academic career, she spent ten years as a practicing attorney in the United States specialised in civil litigation.
