Patricia Shaughnessy Appointed as Co-Chair of the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center Task-Force

Patricia Shaughnessy has been appointed as Co-Chair of the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center (SVAMC)’s Task-Force on Tech Disputes, Tech Companies and International Arbitration with effect from September 2020. The Task-Force’s mission is to explore the apparent underrepresentation of global technology companies in the arbitration community. Patricia is a professor at Stockholm University where she founded the Master of International Commercial Law Program, and researches and teaches international dispute resolution and related areas. She serves as an arbitrator, an expert, and a consultant in legal development projects. Prior to her academic career, she spent ten years as a practicing attorney in the United States specialised in civil litigation.
