Melissa Magliana Elected as Secretary of the SCAI Arbitration Court

Melissa Magliana, a former Member of the Young ArbitralWomen Practitioners Steering Committee, was elected as Secretary of the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution (SCAI) Arbitration Court, with effect from 1 January 2021. Melissa is a Partner at LALIVE in Zurich specializing in international commercial arbitration. She has experience in the construction, pharma, and mining industries, with a particular focus on works contracts and shareholder, partnership, and joint venture disputes arising in a post-M&A and construction projects context. In addition to her role as Secretary to the SCAI Arbitration Court, Melissa will remain a member of the Court. She is also a member of the board of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) and Co-Chair of the ASA Practice Building Seminar. She previously served as Co-Chair of ASA Below 40 and was the 2016 recipient of the ASA Prize for Advocacy in International Commercial Arbitration.
