Floriane Lavaud has joined Withers in New York as an equity partner, effective April 15, 2024. Floriane’s practice focuses on public international law, international arbitration, and complex litigation, with a particular emphasis on the Middle East. Floriane has significant experience advising and representing sovereign states, state-owned entities, and multinational corporations in a variety of jurisdictions and fora on issues of civil and common law, public international law, and treaty and contract interpretation. She is admitted to the New York and Paris bars, in addition to being a solicitor in England & Wales. Floriane has also been recognised by several notable arbitration rankings, including Chambers Global, Chambers USA, The Legal 500 US, and Who’s Who Legal.
