Claudia Annacker Launches Practice as an Independent Arbitrator

Claudia Annacker has left the partnership at Dechert to practice as an independent arbitrator, counsel, and consultant, effective 1 January 2024. Claudia joined Dechert as a partner in its Paris office in 2020, after more than two decades at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. She has acted as counsel in over 35 investor-state disputes, as well as in commercial and inter-state arbitrations and before the European Court of Human Rights. Claudia is a member of the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators, the SIAC Court of Arbitration, and the VIAC Board. She will continue to teach as an adjunct professor and supervise PhD theses at the University of Vienna, from which she holds a habilitation.
