Clara Brillembourg has joined the Sequoia Climate Foundation as their first Program Director for Legal Strategies, effective 13 January 2025, where she leads the strategy for investing in global legal initiatives to drive climate change mitigation. Clara was previously a partner in Foley Hoag’s International Litigation and Arbitration Department and Co-Chair of the Latin America Practice. During her 19 years at Foley, Clara represented States in public international law cases between States, international investment and commercial arbitrations, and U.S. litigation, often involving issues of environmental protection and human rights.
