Over 40 years of partner-level experience in the litigation and arbitration of complex domestic and international commercial disputes across a broad range of substantive areas, including commercial contracts, reinsurance and insurance coverage, corporate transactions, acquisition agreements, purchase price adjustments, indemnification claims, long-term supply contracts, art law, product liability, consumer disputes, and maritime arbitration.
Served as chair, sole arbitrator, tribunal member, and counsel in international and domestic arbitrations and related judicial proceedings. Appointed in approximately 50 arbitrations, the substantial majority since founding Foster Resolution in 2020. Listed on the ICDR and the AAA Commercial, Large Complex, Expedited, and Consumer Rosters. AAA roster member since 2010.
Has participated in international arbitration administered by the ICC, ICDR, SMA, and AAA, as well as in ad hoc arbitration. Experience includes arbitrations seated in the United States, Paris, Bermuda, and Dubai. Frequently addresses foreign law and choice of law issues.
Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and former Co-Chair of the International Arbitration Committee of the American Bar Association Section of International Law.
