“Women in Arbitration Day”, a weekly news digest developed by ArbitralWomen Advisory Council Member Amanda Lee, recently celebrated 100 weeks of social media posts with a series of celebratory teas, held in London and online.
Every Friday, on “WiADay”, Amanda publishes a brief digest on her LinkedIn Feed summarizing news about the achievements, promotions, and career developments of women in arbitration, including many members of ArbitralWomen, and encourages the arbitration community to celebrate their achievements.
Over the last 100 weeks, the professional achievements of more than 1,500 women in arbitration from across the globe have been spotlighted. In addition to recognizing colleagues whose achievements feature in the legal press, this initiative aims to identify new women to celebrate each week and encourages members of the arbitration community to cast their nets widely when identifying arbitrators, experts and counsel.
The weekly “Women in Arbitration Day” posts aim to showcase women in arbitration of all levels of seniority, demonstrate the diverse nature of women in arbitration, and raise awareness about their careers, achievements, and experience.
Recent women in the spotlight include the new Board of ArbitralWomen, new ICC YAAF Representatives, newly appointed Africa in the Moot committee members, recent LLM graduates, and many more.
