Maxi Scherer has been appointed as one of two new Vice-Presidents of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), with effect from 6 May 2021, a year after she was appointed to the LCIA Court. Maxi is a Professor of Law and Chair for International Arbitration, Dispute Resolution & Energy Law at Queen Mary University of London, School of International Arbitration. She is also Special Counsel at WilmerHale in London. Maxi regularly sits as arbitrator and acts as counsel in both commercial and investor state arbitrations and has been widely recognized as a leading arbitration practitioner, including as a Global Elite Thought Leader by Who’s Who Legal.
