Małgorzata Surdek-Janicka has been appointed Vice-President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, with effect from 1 July 2021. Małgorzata is a dispute resolution partner at CMS. She is the first person from Poland to serve as Vice-President of the ICC Court (previously served for three years as an ICC Court member). She acts as counsel and arbitrator in infrastructure and construction, post-M&A and commercial disputes in the energy, mining, technology, and manufacturing sectors. She also defends insurance claims (product liability, professional negligence and D&O). Małgorzata has been recognized by Chambers and Legal 500 as a most-in-demand arbitrator and in the dispute resolution and insurance categories.
