Kate Davies has been appointed as Secretary of the IBA Arbitration Committee with effect from 1 January 2020. Kate is a partner in the International Arbitration Group at Allen & Overy LLP, based in London. She specialises in international commercial and investment treaty arbitration. Kate’s expertise includes resolving disputes in the energy, telecommunications, infrastructure, pharmaceutical, technology and financial services sectors. Co-editor of the forthcoming 25th Edition of Russell on Arbitration, Kate is a member of the ICC UK appointments committee and the ICC’s task force on climate change disputes. She is recognised for her expertise in both commercial and investment treaty arbitration by the Chambers Guide and the Legal 500, and as a Future Leader by Who’s Who: Arbitration.
