Judith Sawang has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS), effective 1 February 2022. Judith is a Partner at Ashurst in Frankfurt where she focuses on national and international arbitration and cross-border commercial litigation. She regularly serves as both counsel and arbitrator and has particular experience with banks/financial institutions, investors, insurance, health science, commodities, telecommunications and the automotive industry. Judith has been recognized as a Future Leader by Who’s Who Legal, one of the best lawyers in Germany for Litigation and International Arbitration by Handelsblatt and as TOP Lawyer in arbitration by WirtschaftsWoche. She was awarded a scholarship prize by DIS for her Ph.D. thesis on the protection of business secrets and the right to be heard in arbitral proceedings.
