Iryna Akulenka FCIArb has been elected as the Chair of the UAE Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, with effect from 1 March 2021. Iryna is a Managing Consultant with HKA Dubai. She is a qualified Engineer with 14 years of experience in managing construction and engineering projects, and contractual claims preparation and defence. She has particular experience with contracts and quantum, and assists clients with all facets of contractual disputes in the infrastructure, construction, oil & gas, and energy sectors. Iryna is a Registered RICS Expert Witness and also acts as an arbitrator in construction disputes. She is a Member of the Global Advisory Board, ICDR Y&I, and MENA Regional Representative of the Russian Arbitration Association.
