The “Indian Women in Arbitration Speaker Bank” is a new initiative launched by Indian Women in International Arbitration (IWIA) to celebrate and amplify the voices of Indian women in international arbitration. This initiative aims to provide a platform for female and female-identifying professionals of Indian origin to share their insights, experiences, and expertise through our webinars and in-person events.
IWIA was founded by Niyati Ahuja in March 2023 in response to the need for greater representation of Indian women in international arbitration. It seeks to create a platform for Indian women practitioners across various jurisdictions to connect, share knowledge and resources, and support one another in their professional development. The IWIA Speaker Bank is designed to showcase diverse voices, including those new to public speaking, ensuring an inclusive space for professionals with a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience.
By nominating yourself or a colleague, you can help build a stronger, more visible presence for Indian women in the field. No prior speaking experience is necessary — IWIA is committed to supporting your growth and helping you gain visibility in the international arbitration community.
Over time, the IWIA Speaker Bank aims to feature hundreds of Indian women professionals as speakers, encouraging the community to broaden its search for experts, counsel, and arbitrators.
