Gillian Carmichael Lemaire, a former member of the Board of ArbitralWomen, and Lisa Henderson QC have been appointed as two of 28 ambassadors for the Scottish Arbitration Centre, all of whom are Scots practitioners working around the world in the field of arbitration.
Gillian Carmichael Lemaire has been appointed as an ambassador for the Scottish Arbitration Centre. Based in London, Gillian is principal of Carmichael Lemaire Limited and acts as counsel, arbitrator and mediator. Gillian focuses on international commercial and investment treaty arbitration with particular emphasis on the construction, infrastructure and general commercial sectors. Gillian is a member of the Paris Bar, a solicitor admitted in Scotland, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an accredited mediator. She speaks English and French.
Lisa Henderson QC has been appointed as an ambassador for the Scottish Arbitration Centre. Lisa in a member of Ampersand Advocates in Edinburgh and specialises in clinical negligence and personal injury claims. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the LCIA European Users’ Council. Lisa is Vice Chair of the British American Project UK Executive Committee and the Faculty of Advocates’ Dispute Resolution Committee. She is recognised as a leader in her fields of expertise by leading independent legal directories Chambers and Partners and Legal 500.
