Deborah Hylton has been appointed as co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Women in Dispute Resolution, a committee of the Section of Dispute Resolution, with effect from August 2020. Deborah established her independent practice, Hylton ADR Services based in Durham, North Carolina, after prior corporate executive roles, board roles, and serving as a partner in corporate and cross-border transactional matters at the predecessor to Womble Bond Dickinson (US). Deborah is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a judge at the Vis Moot, a frequent speaker on arbitration-related topics, and former Senior Lecturing Fellow in Mergers & Acquisitions at Duke University School of Law. She serves on corporate boards, including Midmark Corporation which was recently honoured for excellence in corporate governance.
