Cherine Foty, an ArbitralWomen Board Member, has been appointed to the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution’s Y-ADR Steering Committee, effective 14 September 2021. Cherine is a Senior Associate in the international arbitration group at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington, D.C. She practices international commercial and investor-state arbitration and has particular experience in the energy sector, regularly representing clients in gas pricing arbitrations under long-term gas supply agreements. Cherine has been recognized as a Best Lawyers “One to Watch” for France in the field of international arbitration. She speaks five languages.
