Kate Brown de Vejar Appointed Senior Co-Chair of the International Bar Association’s Arbitration Committee
Kate Brown de Vejar has been named Co-Chair of the International Bar Association’s Arbitration Committee for 2026. Kate, Partner and Global Co-Chair of International Arbitration at DLA Piper, is a graduate of Queensland University, Australia, and Harvard Law School, and is dual US and Australian qualified. Fluent in English, French and Spanish, Kate is based between New York and Mexico City, and as of 1 January 2026, she will step into the shoes of outgoing Co-Chair, Chiann Bao. The IBA Arbitration Committee’s agenda for 2026 starts early, with their flagship event – the IBA Arbitration Day – taking place on 28-29 January 2026 in Abu Dhabi.
