Abby Cohen Smutny has been appointed as the global head of White & Case LLP’s International Arbitration Practice with effect from 1 July 2019. Abby is based in Washington, DC and represents parties in international commercial arbitration and investor state proceedings arising out of a wide number of different industries. She is a member of the AAA Advisory Board and the SIAC Court of Arbitration, and an adviser to the American Law Institute on the US Restatement on International Commercial Arbitration. Abby is recognised for her expertise in international arbitration and public international law by all of the leading directories.
