Young ArbitralWomen Practitioners (YAWP) is the first young networking group solely for female practitioners, with an international Steering Committee.

YAWP provides a platform and resources including tools, programmes, skill-building, and networking events, for women under 40 to share ideas and build professional relationships, allowing them to excel and prosper as they advance in their careers in international arbitration.

ArbitralWomen members under 40 automatically become members of YAWP. Those interested in joining are invited to first join the parent organisation by completing an application under Apply Now.

YAWP offers the following programmes and benefits to its members:

  • YAWP Skill-Building and
    Networking Events

    YAWP organises several events each year for its members in jurisdictions around the world as well as virtually. They include networking events, events aimed at improving the technical and soft skills, and professional development events for international arbitration lawyers. Since its inaugural event in 2016, YAWP has organized over 50 events worldwide.

  • YAWP Speaker Panel

    Expands opportunities for YAWP members to serve as moderators, speakers, or volunteers at arbitration events organised or supported by ArbitralWomen and YAWP worldwide.

  • Mentorship of YAWP Members

    The ArbitralWomen Mentorship Programme matches experienced dispute resolution practitioners (general counsel, lawyers in private practice, mediators, arbitrators and experts) (“Mentors”) with less experienced and aspiring practitioners (“Mentees”) to provide advice and help them to advance their careers in international dispute resolution.

  • ArbitralWomen/YAWP Parental Mentorship Programme

    A programme which seeks to match members who are pregnant or who are new mothers with another member who has recent experience of learning to balance the demands of parenthood with a career in international dispute resolution, and also provides opportunities for YAWP and ArbitralWomen members who are parents to share their experiences with each other.
